I have diplomas in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery (Barcelona), abdominal wall hernias (Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico), and hepatobiliary surgery from Universidad Católica de Chile. I have more than 25 years of experience and am a staff physician at the country's largest hospitals: Hospital Bíblica, Hospital CIMA, and Metropolitano. The estimated recovery time for laparoscopic surgery is 5-8 days after surgery. 98% of patients stay in the hospital for one night. They then return to their hotels or homes. There is no need to remove stitches because intradermal sutures are used.
