This means the platform facilitates the connection and administrative coordination between international patients and independent healthcare professionals, but does not provide medical services, does not intervene in clinical decisions, and does not store the patient's clinical information. The healthcare professional registered with KURBUO provides their services autonomously, independently, and under their exclusive professional, ethical, and legal responsibility

Medical Service Provision

  • - Provide the medical services contracted directly with the patient in accordance with the lex artis and applicable professional standards.
  • - Perform clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical prescription, and therapeutic follow-up under their exclusive responsibility.
  • - Personally provide the contracted services, without delegating their execution to unauthorized third parties.
  • - Comply with the health regulations in force in the jurisdiction where the service is provided.

Informed Consent

  • - Inform the patient clearly, sufficiently, and comprehensibly about medical procedures, risks, benefits, therapeutic alternatives, and other relevant clinical aspects.
  • - Manage the signing of the informed consent directly with the patient, as this is a clinical act that is NOT administered or managed by KURBUO.

Medical Records and Documentation

  • - Prepare, safeguard, and manage the patient's medical record in their own medical systems.
  • - Store all clinical documentation (diagnoses, prescriptions, laboratory results, diagnostic images) in their own systems, without involving KURBUO.
  • - Ensure the confidentiality and security of the patient's clinical information.

Administrative Management on the Platform

  • - Keep their professional availability, appointment schedule, and offered services up to date.
  • - Provide truthful, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding personal data and professional credentials.
  • - Report to KURBUO technical failures or administrative situations that may affect the use of the platform.
  • - Maintain the confidentiality and security of their account, being responsible for the use of their access credentials.
  • - Use respectful and professional language during medical care.

Patient's Responsibilities

The patient acknowledges that the decision to hire medical services through the platform is voluntary and is made under their exclusive responsibility.

Personal and Medical Information

  • - Provide the healthcare professional with truthful, complete, and accurate information that allows for an adequate medical evaluation.
  • - Refrain from providing false, incomplete, or misleading information that could affect the medical care received.
  • - Register on the platform with truthful, accurate, current, and authentic personal data, and update them when necessary.

Consent and Informed Decision

  • - Sign the informed consent directly with the healthcare professional for the contracted medical service, acknowledging that such consent is a clinical act between patient and physician.
  • - Acknowledge that the preliminary virtual medical orientation is only advisory and does not replace in-person medical evaluation nor constitutes a definitive diagnosis.
  • - Assume the inherent risks of international medical care, including differences in clinical protocols, medical practices, and availability of treatments.
  • - Accept that KURBUO does not guarantee medical outcomes, recovery times, or clinical success of procedures.

Compliance and Follow-up

  • - Follow the medical recommendations given exclusively by the healthcare professional within the care relationship framework.
  • - Respect the schedules and conditions of contracted medical appointments, attending punctually or promptly reporting absence per the Cancellation Policy.
  • - Make the corresponding payments for contracted medical services according to the established commercial conditions.
  • - Independently determine that the medical service contracted with the healthcare professional meets their needs.

Appropriate Use of the Platform
